No, I didn't get the scanner yet. I'd actually been debating on whether to put this up ever since I got a DA account, and had scanned it in in March.
So basically here's the story of this artwork:

About six months after I first started College (about Jan/ Feb 2005) I had "Image Manipulation" class (aka "Photoshop 101 and Illustrator 101").
One of our assignments, I think it was the final one for our time with Photoshop, was to make a pseudo Comic Book Cover.
Well, around mid-January I was browsing fanfiction.com in the Jak and Daxter section when I came across an Alternate Universe story called Dax or Daxter? by Joeanne Bresson. Bored, I'd read it, and then was immediately struck in the first chapter with "OMMUH GOD! FEMALE DAXTER! ULTIMATE WIN!!!"

I mean seriously--I'd never seen anybody think up the idea of a female Daxter, and I haven't seen anyone else do it anywhere else either!

So when the assignment for the cover was given, I immediately emailed the authoress and asked if I could make fanart for her story (well, I'd figured asking permission was only proper at the time!) and she was thrilled.
Now at first I was only going to do the top halves of their bodies and have that be the cover, but then I wanted to see how they'd look whole and...yeah, two pages (the first one taking the whole of J'n'D's upper bodies, and the second for their waists and legs) taped together,scanned in and realigned took about two hours itself.

Yeah, only got a B- for this though, since I'd spent most of my time on the characters and not enough on the rest of the cover (haaahaaha... *sweatdrop*)

So anyway, about four years later and I get this DA account, and debate putting this up. Why? Well, in case some untoward Copyright incident came out I didn't have the originals to show that I was the actual creator of this image, and I (at the time) had no idea where they were. But as I was cleaning my room out for graduation move-out I'd finally found them. Granted, I once again lost track of them, but at least now they're in one of the eight boxes I'd packed to take with me from Philly, so in a pinch I'll be able to dig them out in a day or two.

P.S. "Yaminai" was another screen name that the authoress knew me by, in case you're wondering.
